Kickboxing is a sport based on kicking and punching, which developed from Karate, Thai boxing and Western boxing. It is primarily used for self-defense, for contact sport and for fitness purposes. Some of the benefits of kickboxing include muscle toning for better circulation and stress relief. Kickboxing also increases strength, confidence and coordination. Most students find kickboxing classes aimed on everything from cardio conditioning, elements of dance to martial arts.
At Doha Sports & Arts, you will learn the proper body mechanics in Kickboxing from body control and coordination to throwing punches, elbows, knees and kicks. Each instructor will encourage you on how to spar at intensity levels applicable to your physical goals. While kicking, grappling and punching will boost your metabolism, this also helps build lean muscle for increased flexibility, trimming down while slowing down and reverse the aging effects.
